Get your friends together for the 2016 Moorabool Relay for Life

Whats-On1It’s not too much longer until the Moorabool community gets together and takes part in this year’s Relay for Life event on September 17 & 18.

The overnight community event is held annually all around the country, helping to raise funds and awareness for the Cancer Council and for cancer research, prevention and support services.

The event involves teams of people who take it in turns to walk in a 24-hour relay.

Everyone in the team is encouraged to walk or run at least one lap, but don’t worry if you’re not too athletic because the focus of the event is on sharing an experience with your friends and family and joining in the fight against cancer.

Teams have already begun fundraising this year, but there is still time to get together a team of your own, or to join an existing one. If you’re busy on the weekend of the event you can still make a donation too.

Cancer touches too many lives, so this cause is an extremely important one and we’d love to encourage as many people from the Bacchus Marsh community as possible to participate or contribute to this cause in any way they can.

The Moorabool Relay For Life will be held at Maddingley Park, Bacchus Marsh on September 17 & 18.
