Find out about Bacchus Marsh’s Housing Strategy

homeBacchus Marsh residents are being asked to have a say on the Moorabool Council’s draft housing strategy for the area.

The Housing Strategy will guide future housing density, identify areas for infill and new housing areas and will assist with the protection of the character of the Bacchus Marsh area.

Bacchus Marsh has been specifically identified in Plan Melbourne and the Central Highlands Regional Growth Plan as a suitable location to accommodate growth due to its regional service centre role, its relative accessibility to Melbourne, Geelong and Ballarat, its well established town centre and the availability of greenfield and infill development opportunities.

Given the popularity and growth pressures to be faced by Bacchus Marsh in the coming decades, a housing strategy is fundamental to managing change.

Local residents are encourage to learn more and share their comments on housing in Bacchus Marsh and surrounds by attending a drop in session.

They will be held on:

  • Monday 6 June from 3pm to 7pm inside The Village Shopping Centre, Main Street Bacchus Marsh
  • Monday 20 June from 3pm to 7pm inside The Village Shopping Centre, Main Street Bacchus Marsh
  • Monday 27 June from 3pm to 7pm inside The Village Shopping Centre, Main Street Bacchus Marsh.
