Thinking about running for council?

If you answered “yes” then your opportunity will be coming up later this year with the Moorabool Shire Council elections set to take place in October 2016.

Seven Councillors will be elected to form the Council, which will serve the community from 2016 until 2020.

Being a Councillor is an extremely important role that allows you to expand your ability to influence issues that you care about, and help make a difference in the best interests of the local community.

If you’re thinking about nominating though, then you will need to be enrolled to vote in Moorabool Shire Council elections and meet other requirements.

Nominations for the 2016 Council elections will open on Thursday 15 September 2016, and close at 12noon on Tuesday 20 September 2016.
