On this poignant occasion, everyone is encouraged to reflect on and pay our respects to those brave soldiers who fought for our country all those years ago, and to all of the servicemen and women who have served in all wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations for Australia for the past 101 years.
To this day, the spirit of the Anzacs, with its human qualities of courage, mateship, and sacrifice, continues to have meaning and relevance for our sense of national identity.
If you want to show your respects to the Anzacs on this milestone occasion, there will be a dawn service beginning at 5.45am at the Bacchus Marsh RSL Hall.
People attending the service are encouraged to arrive early.
Breakfast will be available following the Dawn Service at 6.15am (a Gold Coin Donation is kindly requested for the breakfast).
Contact the Bacchus Marsh RSL for any further details and if you don’t live in Bacchus Marsh and would like to know where your closest ANZAC Day service is being held then it’s best to contact your local RSL for information or you can search for local services at http://anzaccentenary.vic.gov.au/.
Lest we forget.
