Say, “YES” to walking in November

Bacchus Marsh residents are being encouraged to say, “YES!” to exercise in November.

The Moorabool News has a created a new health initiative for everyone in the local community to get involved with, called YESvember, where residents are simply asked to walk all throughout the month.

A 30-day challenge has been set to walk 10,000 steps per day in YESvember. Those who take up the challenge will have the opportunity to win some great health and fitness prizes – what more incentive could you need?

You can walk with your kids, walk with a group of friends, walk to work, walk to school or walk to the supermarket. Ask yourself how you could include more steps in your day.

If you want to take part in the challenge then head to the registration day on October 29 at the Lerderderg Library in Bacchus Marsh from 12-12.30pm, or the A.A McLean Reserve Rotunda in Ballan from 3.30 – 4pm.

Registration is free so there’s no excuse not to step out more and do something good for your health.
