The overnight community event is held annually to raise funds and awareness for the Cancer Council.
For those who haven’t head of the event before, it involves teams of people who take it in turns to walk in a 24-hour relay. Everyone in the team is encouraged to walk or run at least one lap, but the event isn’t about being athletic or “winning”, it’s about sharing an experience with your friends and family and joining in the fight against cancer.
Many teams have already begun their fundraising but there is still time to get together a team of your own, or to join an existing one. If you’re busy on the weekend of the event you can still make a donation too.
Cancer touches too many lives, so this cause is an extremely important one and we’d love to encourage as many people from the Bacchus Marsh community as possible to participate or contribute to this cause in any way they can.
The Moorabool Relay For Life will be held at Maddingley Park, Bacchus Marsh on September 19 & 20.
