Have your say on Bacchus Marsh Bunnings proposal

NewsThe Bacchus Marsh community is invited to have their say on the proposal to build a new Bunnings in the area.

The proposal seeks to rezone land between Clifton Drive and the Western Freeway to Commercial 2 and issue a planning permit for the development of the hardware retail centre.

There has already been some community debate about whether or not the proposal should go ahead. If you have an opinion one way or the other then now is the time to have your say and make sure your voice is heard.

Local residents have until September 18th to have a say.

An information pack will be sent to properties located in the immediate vicinity of the site that are most likely to be impacted by the planned developed.

Proposal documents can be viewed at the Department of Environment Land Water and Planning website at

www.dtpli.vic.gov.au/publicinspection or at any of the

Council offices in Ballan, Darley and the Lerderderg Library.

A Council planning officer will also be available during the following times at the Lerderderg Library, James Young Room (215 Main Street, Bacchus Marsh), to answer questions about the proposal:

–      Tuesday 11 August 2015 – 9am – 1pm

–      Monday 24 August 2015 – 1pm – 5pm

–      Friday 11 September 2015 – 9am – 1pm
