Cupcake Day for the RSPCA – Will you be baking this year?

cupcake dayBacchus Marsh residents are being encouraged to use their baking skills to help stop animal cruelty on Monday 17 August for the RSPCA’s Cupcake Day.

The event is now in its eighth year and since its inception has become extremely popular, with local community groups getting together to enjoy some cakes while raising money for a very good cause.

The simple pleasure of eating or baking a cupcake for Cupcake Day can help make a difference to the lives of tens of thousands of animals.

RSPCA is a non-government organisation and they need to raise around 99% of their operating costs. Money raised from Cupcake Day goes towards supporting animals in our community through shelters, Inspectorate, vet hospitals, education and outreach programs.

Getting involved in Cupcake Day is easy. All you need to do is register with, start baking (or if you can’t bake you can always buy from someone who can), and then bring your cupcakes to work, school, or an arranged event and then ask for a donation for the RSPCA in return.

Whether you plan on baking your own cupcakes, or enjoying ones that someone else has made, Cupcake Day is a great way to help raise some serious funds for a very worthy cause.

Do you know of any RSPCA Cupcake Day events taking place in the Bacchus Marsh area this year? If you do then please feel free to leave a comment and share!
