St Vincent de Paul’s Winter Appeal is on again and they’re hoping that the Bacchus Marsh community will help out by donating warm items and other basic essentials that are desperately needed at this time of year.
It’s easy to help out. All you need to do is look through your cupboards and wardrobes to see if you have any spare winter woollies that you would be willing to donate. Items that are needed include blankets, doonas, jackets, jumpers, and any other type of warm clothing.
Some of us may take items like daggy old jumpers or jackets for granted, but without them or other warm clothes, winter can be extremely challenging.
Everyone can help make a difference in someone else’s life by donating to your local St Vinnies. If you can’t find any items to donate then there are still ways you can help out. All you need to do is head to www.vinnies.org.au/winterappeal and make a donation that can help provide food or shelter, and ultimately help people rebuild people’s lives.
We know that the Bacchus Marsh community is a generous one, so take a quick look through your wardrobe and contact your local St Vincent de Paul if you would like any more details about this year’s winter appeal.
