New art festival for Bacchus Marsh

Whats-On1A new art festival will be coming to Bacchus Marsh this year thanks to the efforts of Benjamin Dowd, Steven Tandy and almost 100 backers on Kickstarter.

The crowd-funding website has allowed the two Bacchus Marsh artists to raise enough money to fund the upcoming festival which will be called, “Fruits of the Loom”.

So far more than $2,500 has been raised for the event, which will hep cover the costs of cost of hall hire, equipment and liquor licensing.

The festival will be held at the Bacchus Marsh Public Hall on June 12 and will feature a selection of works from local filmmakers, musicians, artists and more.

The event is sure to be popular, and already around half of the venue’s capacity has been filled through pre-sale tickets. There will however be another 200 spots available at the door.

Tickets to Fruits of the Loom will cost just $20 and will include 4 hours of fantastic artwork and a chance to meet the artists.
