Facebook group provides an easy way to swap and giveaway items in Bacchus Marsh

Recycle-SymbolA new Bacchus Marsh Facebook group has recently been created, providing locals with any easy way to offer their services or recycle old treasures.

The group is called “Freecycle – Bacchus Marsh”, and two locals who hope to help encourage recycling and waste reduction within the Bacchus Marsh community have created it.

All sorts of items have been posted on the page in the past – such as books, toys, clothes, furniture and much more.

It benefits everyone, the person giving the item away can get rid of an item they no longer need while helping someone out at the same time, because as they say one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.

For those moving homes it could prove to be a much easier way to get rid of any unwanted items – no garage sales required!

The group is not-for-profit and items must be located in or within a 10km radius of Bacchus Marsh and be in good and usable condition.

The group has more than 1,300 users so as you can imagine there are plenty of items that get put up for sale.

If you would like to start recycling or see what is on offer from the group then search for ‘Freecycle – Bacchus Marsh’ on Facebook and join in.
