Bacchus Marsh ANZAC March this Sunday

Anzac DayBacchus Marsh war veterans will march through the streets this Sunday as part of the annual Bacchus Marsh ANZAC Parade.

This year the parade will be of special significance, marking the 100-year anniversary of the landing of Australian and New Zealand troops at Gallipoli.

The parade will commence at 2pm from the Bacchus Marsh Hospital and travel to the Soldiers Memorial Hall in Main Street for the annual wreath laying service.

The Bacchus Marsh ANZAC Parade is an opportunity for everyone in the community to pay their respects to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our great country.

By attending the ANZAC Parade or any other service for ANZAC Day you are helping to show your gratitude to the men and women who have served Australia in all wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations.

Next week we will be posting up information for the Bacchus Marsh ANZAC Day service and we encourage everyone in the community to make a special effort this year to attend a service or ANZAC Day event and to take the time to think about those first ANZACS that left for the First World War 100 years ago.
