If you’ve just returned to work this week and are already starting to look ahead to your next holiday then you’ll be happy to hear that the Australian Day public holiday is only a couple more weeks away.
There are always plenty of fun activities taking place around the Bacchus Marsh region to celebrate Australia Day, with the major festivities being hosted by the Moorabool Shire Council at the Bacchus Marsh Public Hall from 8am.
There will be a community BBQ breakfast (thanks to the assistance of local service clubs), musical entertainment and a town crier.
The event will also feature the Flag Raising Ceremony, Australian Citizenship Ceremony and the presentation of the Moorabool Shire Council Australia Day Awards and Mayor’s Awards.
Everyone in the local community is invited to attend what is sure to be a great day of fun and a wonderful way to celebrate our wonderful community, and what it means to be an Australian.
