Bacchus Marsh students encouraged to read these school holidays

News BoyBacchus Marsh kids are being told not to put their books down when the school term ends next week.

The Moorabool Shire Council will be running the Summer Reading Club challenge and is encouraging all local students to take part and possibly win some prizes too.

The major prize for taking part in the program will be a Nintendo 3DS XL.

There will also be a Leapfrog Leap Pad Ultra prize to be won for pre-schoolers, a $100 National Geographic gift pack for primary schoolers, and a $150 Collins Book Store voucher available for high schoolers.

More prizes will be up for grabs for students who take part in the program’s online writing activities.

The program will run until Friday 16 January and students can sign up for free by heading into any Moorabool library or by registering online at www.summerreadingclub.org.au.

Those who register at a Moorabool library will receive a Summer Reading Club pack that includes stickers, temporary tattoos, wristbands and bookmarks.
