Bacchus Marsh residents reminded of NBN changeover

InternetThe old phone system in Bacchus Marsh is about to be switched off, but locals have been assured that households won’t be switched off until they have been contacted directly.

After some confusion about disconnections in Brunswick, NBN Co have promised that they will contact each resident personally and will not cut anyone off until they have been warned first.

Everyone that hasn’t switched over to the new digital network can expect to get a phone call from someone at NBN Co and if they can’t catch you on the phone then they will door-knock.

It is very important that everyone in Bacchus Marsh educates themselves on the steps that need to be taken to connect to the new network. After the old phone system is switched off, your household phones will no longer work, as they are not hooked up to the broadband network automatically.

Residents need to organise their own connection by choosing a phone and internet plan with a retail service provider.

If you would like any more information about switching over to the NBN, head to nbnco.com.au.
