The challenge is all part of the Leukaemia Foundation’s Sunflower Dash campaign, that will include fun runs in Melbourne and capital cities and centres across Australia.
Everybody who wants to get involved can raise money by entering into the fun run or by holding a sunflower-themed fundraiser or dare. For example you could hold a sunflower themed art show or bake cupcakes or cookies with sunflower designs – anything you can think of that can help raise funds!
Money that is raised through the Sunflower Dash campaign will go towards providing emotional care to families that really need it. The Leukaemia Foundation provides counselling, face to face and telephone support and a “Blood Buddies” program that pairs newly diagnosed people with others. All of these services are offered free of charge.
The sunflower has been chosen to help brighten up people’s days and to help bring some vibrancy during a time of year that is usually cold and dark.
So why not help to brighten up Bacchus Marsh this month and do something for a good cause by getting involved in the Sunflower Dash campaign?
