With daylight saving ending this weekend, we thought we would use this time to remind everyone in the Bacchus Marsh community to change their clocks this Sunday, and to change their smoke alarm batteries too!
Over the last few years the Country Fire Authority Victoria has been encouraging local households to change their smoke alarm batteries at the same time as they change their clocks, in order to make it a regular habit.
Smoke alarms should be installed in bedrooms and hallways and they should be checked regularly to make sure they are in working order. Smoke alarms help save people’s lives so it’s extremely important that we all have working smoke alarms in our homes.
Daylight saving will be ending on Sunday 6th April in Victoria at 3am, when we should all be turning our clocks back one hour.
We thought we would also use this time to remind people that daylight saving can often cause confusion on changeover day, so keep this in mind if you are arranging any meet-ups or home inspections this Sunday. It’s often best to give people a friendly reminder to ensure that they meet you at the right time.
Have you ever missed an appointment because you forgot to change your clock after daylight saving?
