If you’ve just started searching online for great school holiday ideas, you might have missed one of Bacchus Marsh’s newest websites. The Blacksmith Cottage and Forge Book Barn are now online, and we encourage all Bacchus Marsh residents to click across to http://www.cottageandforge.com/ and see what they’ve got on offer.
Our Professionals Arbee Real Estate team have just been browsing, and it was great to see the website promoting Forge Book Barn’s opening hours. For those looking for some light holiday reading, you can head to the book shop on Fridays from 12-4pm, Saturdays from 10am-2pm, and Sundays from 12-4pm. The not-for-profit book barn is operated solely by volunteers, and helps to keep the cottage afloat, so we’d love to see more Bacchus Marsh residents popping by for a visit and a Christmas purchase or two.
While you’re there, make sure you walk through the cottage for your taste of 19th Century life. School groups often visit the cottage, and we’re sure your kids will enjoy the experience of going back in time. Entry is free, although there may be a small fee charged if you decide to visit in a group.
Check out the calendar of events for 2014, already available online. You’ll find everything from ‘The Harvest Festival’ to ‘An Aussie Christmas’, so get your diary out and start writing in some important dates. If you like supporting local businesses and Bacchus Marsh attractions, click over to their website and start planning your next visit to Blacksmith Cottage and Forge Book Barn today.
