Going back to school in term 4 rarely brings the same level of excitement, anticipation or enthusiasm as it does at the start of the year. In fact, when speaking with Bacchus Marsh parents at this time of the year a common complaint seems to be that their children are tired, unmotivated, and already looking forward to their summer holidays.
So what is the key to keeping children motivated and energized in this final term of the year? Australian Little Athletics is aimed at helping children to develop positive attitudes and healthy lifestyles. Little Athletics provides age-appropriate programs for all children aged between 5 and 15 years from October through until March. Children of all skills and fitness levels are encouraged to get involved and have a go. The focus is on family, fun and fitness, which creates a happy, non-competitive and supportive environment in which children can strive to improve and achieve their personal best.
Little Athletics is a voluntary organization, so all parents, grandparents and friends are welcomed with open arms and encouraged to help out whenever they can. This is one of the few occasions where you can be fully involved in your child’s sporting interests, watching and celebrating their every throw, sprint and jump.
To arrange a free trial or register your child, please contact Bacchus Marsh Little Athletics Centre.
If you know of other local activities that might be of interest to Bacchus Marsh families as the school year draws to a close, please share them here. We’d love to hear what other Bacchus Marsh clubs and groups are doing.
