The Moorabool Shire Council is currently asking local residents to have their say on this year’s council budget, which is currently on display in council offices and available for reading online.
The 2012-13 local budget outlines for more than $18 million to be spent on community services and $11 million to be spend on capital works such the Avenue of Honour Walking Trail and Bacchus Marsh Indoor Aquatic Centre. The budget also includes more than $7 million in surplus.
It’s important for local residents and ratepayers to have a say in how the local council spends its funds so that money goes towards projects and activities that are supported by the local community.
Local residents have until 5pm on June 5 to have their say on this year’s council budget. To have your say you can email email@example.com or provide your comments at haveyoursaymoorabool.com.au.
