Bacchus Marsh residents are still waiting to hear the final decision on the Bacchus Marsh Avenue of Honour, but many are hoping that the Heritage Council will rule against the proposed roundabout that would link Woolpack Rd to the Western Highway.
As everyone in Bacchus Marsh knows, the debate over what to do at the Avenue of Honour has been going on for a very long time – some people want a roundabout built at the area to help ease traffic congestion in Bacchus Marsh, while others want to see the area and all of its Elm trees preserved.
If anything though, most people just want an answer so that we can finally know the outcome for the Avenue.
We should be hearing a final verdict on the Bacchus Marsh Avenue of Honour by the Heritage Council in the next few weeks, so keep your eyes and ears out and I’ll be sure to report on any news that I hear.
