It’s been a bone of contention between the authorities of Vic Roads, the Moorabool Shire Council and Heritage Victoria for some time now, but it seems that the Avenue of Honour Roundabout is still causing issues as reported last week in the Leader.
Although I’m not going to get into the debate about the size of the roundabout on our Avenue of Honour here in Bacchus Marsh, I will say that I am a little happier to hear that not as many of our historic trees will be cut down to make way for the roundabout and that the roundabout will be reduced from its originally planned diameter.
You can read about the proposed changes on the National Trust of Australia’s website here. What do you think about the changes? Are you for or against the roundabout?
