The debate over what to do at Bacchus Marsh’s Avenue of Honour may never end. Currently it seems as if residents are now for the Woolpack Road extension, as we look for a solution to the traffic congestion on our roads.
Of course nobody wants to lose our beloved trees, but local residents are getting tired of the dangerous levels of traffic, and there are concerns about the health of the trees in their current state. Some even believe that the Avenue of Honour would become a nicer place to visit if the trees were more spread out and there were less trucks driving by.
Obviously this is an issue the community is still divided over, nobody wants to see our trees go, but something needs to be done to improve our roads.
What do you think?
