When selling your home, presentation always counts. Some people only do the bare minimum when it comes to staging a home for a sale but the truth of the matter is, the better presented a property is, the more likely it is to sell for a good price.
So what are the things you need to pay attention to?
Those little details like cracked windows or scratched paint may not bother you anymore, but they can make a big impact on potential buyers which may cause them to lower their offering price.
To make sure this doesn’t happen invite over a friend or ask your real estate agent to check out your home and point out things that may deter buyers.
Clean! Clean! Clean!
If nothing else make sure your home is sparkling clean. This includes clearing away any clutter, making beds and generally making sure every surface in your home is free of dirt and grime. Don’t forget the outside of your house either, especially because this is the first thing people will see.
Buyers want to picture themselves in the house they are looking through, so it is best to put those personal items away. Items such as photos, bills, laundry or any offensive art should be hidden away. It is best to have a neutral and depersonalised space, so anyone can picture themselves in your house.
