Bacchus Marsh’s water network is about to get an upgrade. The Moorabool Council will receive $12 million to make upgrades to the Bacchus Marsh Water Recycle Plant and increase the capacity of pipe networks, mains and sewers.
Nearby Melton will also be receiving $107 million for a number of projects in the area, including upgrading the Melton Recycled Water Plant.
The new water infrastructure will help provide more recycled water to homes and businesses and will be greatly needed for our local areas especially if we are expecting planned growth over the coming years.
Western Water is hoping by increasing the amount of recycled water that is used, we can cut down on water use in the area and therefore conserve more water, which of course a key concern for our area.
