Bacchus Marsh is popular amongst locals and tourists alike and there are plenty of activities you can do in our area if you just have a day to spare. So what are they? Well here are some of my favourites:
- Bacchus Marsh Heritage Trail – Bacchus Marsh is a city enriched with a history that dates back to 1839 and by taking this trail around the town you will come across buildings and landmarks that have been a part of our town since its early days (head to the Bacchus Marsh Visitor Information Centre to start).
- A Walk Along the Great Dividing Trail – The Great Diving Trail is a beautiful stretch of walking track that extends all the way from the Great Dividing Range at Bacchus Marsh to Blackwood, Daylesford, Castlemaine, Bendigo, Creswick, Ballarat and Buninyong and allows you to truly experience the splendour of the area.
- A Day at the Bacchus Marsh Golf Club – There is nothing like a good day of golf and the Bacchus Marsh Golf Club would have to offer one of the best gold courses in all of Victoria. With beautiful green and picturesque views of Lerderderg Valley you are sure to have a great day.
- A Visit to the Avenue of Honour – Seeing as it could be the last days that we will see the Avenue of Honour as it is now; this is a definite must-see if you are coming to visit Bacchus Marsh. While you are in the area you can also sample fresh fruit and vegetable produce at the Market Gardens and have a walk along the Lerderderg River.
