Bacchus Marsh Taxi Ranks Getting Increased Security

In November last year the Victorian Government created a $4 million Taxi Rank Safety Program which allowed councils to apply for money to improve their taxi rank security and finally it seems like Bacchus Marsh is getting some of the benefits!

The Moorabool Council is one of 13 across the state that has been given access to these funds within the first year of this initiative, having received nearly $14,000.

So far with the money received we have been able to upgrade three of the Bacchus Marsh taxi ranks, which is positive for all of those who catch cabs as well as the local taxi drivers.

Applications are also now being received for the next round of funding so if anyone has any interest in where Bacchus Marsh’s funding goes then contact the Moorabool Council!
