Towards a Greener Office

Living in the beautiful area that is Bacchus Marsh, I want to do my part to try and preserve the wonderful environment that we live in. That is why here at our Professionals Real Estate office we have decided to do everything possible to go greener and achieve ecological stability. And you can too!

There are a number of things we are doing here to help to run a cleaner and healthier office and also reduce the stress that we are putting on our environment.

The first thing our office has done is to utilise technologies that are more energy efficient so we reduce the amount of power we use and also greenhouse gas emissions. This also means going digital and eliminating as much paper usage as possible, and filing information online rather than using hard copies.

But there are little things that we can all do, such as turning lights and computers off when they are not in use; walking or catching public transport to work and also bringing lunch to work everyday rather than eating out. It’s the little things like this, that if we all did them they could really make a difference to the larger community.

We also promote a local community project here called Ecolinc. Ecolinc’s aim is to get local school students involved and participating actively in building awareness of environmental development practices. Ecolinc also provides advanced environmental facilities that help to recycle and decontaminate our water supplies so we have clean waters flowing through the Werribee River.

If anyone is interested in learning more about the Ecolinc program then you can find more information on their website here , or if you want some tips on how you too can become greener you can find them here.

Let me know what you think. Is your Real Estate agency doing their best to look after the environment for our children’s children? It starts with something small and can build into an everyday practice that will see our Earth prosper through this millennium and the next. I would love to hear your comments.
